Jon oversees the investment selection, research, and asset allocation decisions. He is a voting member of the Investment Committee. Jon received his B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance, Real Estate and Marketing. He is a CFA Charterholder.
Cyrus co-manages the investment selection, research, and asset allocation decisions. He is a voting member of the Investment Committee, and the firm's Chief Compliance Officer. Cyrus received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. Cyrus is a Member of NY State Bar Association, and a CFA Charterholder.
Shawn leads the firm’s family office team. He is a voting member of the Investment Committee where he participates in investment selection, research, and asset allocation decisions. Shawn received his M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, is a CFA Charterholder and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Lisa joined Charlesworth & Rugg, Inc. in 1983. With over thirty years experience in the investment management field, she is responsible for portfolio trading, operations management, client reporting and implementing compliance procedures. She received a B.A. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an M.B.A. from California State University, Northridge.
Dr. Rugg founded Charlesworth & Rugg, Inc. in 1976. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from UCLA and has served on the faculty of University of California, Los Angeles, Santa Clara University, and Pepperdine University. Before founding Charlesworth & Rugg, Inc. he was an economist for the Rand Corporation. Dr. Rugg is a non-voting member of the Investment Committee and primarily focuses upon the firm’s research and portfolio management activities.
Jamie oversees firm wealth management and financial planning activities, and participates in investment analysis and research. Prior to joining the firm, Jamie led operations and strategy at a technology startup, and held numerous management positions in operations, training and development. She received her B.S. from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, and her Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from UCLA. Jamie is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Aaron oversees C&R’s west coast Corporate Services division and is responsible for assisting business owners in expanding their operations by focusing on employee retention, mitigating risk and utilizing tax saving strategies. Prior to joining the firm, Aaron managed the Corporate Services Department at American Financial Network and was a Senior Client Relationship Manager at Prudential Retirement Services serving high net worth clients. Aaron received a B.A. in Economics from California State University, Northridge and he is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF).
Hugh assists in leading the firm’s business development and social media. He participates in investment selection, research, and asset allocation decisions, and is a member of the firm's Investment Committee. Prior to joining Charlesworth & Rugg, Hugh worked for Wells Fargo Advisors for 14 years. There he served as a portfolio manager working for one of the most successful teams with a focus on ultra-high net worth clients. Hugh received his M.B.A. from Loyola Marymount University.
David has been a part of the team since 2001, and his primary responsibilities are in client liaison services and business development. David has broad experience as an executive in the insurance, accounting and finance industries and was previously President of Heritage Insurance Group. He received his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School of Business.
David received his B.A degree in Mathematics from National C.K.U. in Tainan, Taiwan, and M.A. degree in Economics from CU in Boulder, Colorado. He earned his CFP® designation in 2000, his CLU in 1989, and has been a member of the American Academy of Actuaries since 1980. Before joining Charlesworth & Rugg, Inc., David ran a successful financial planning practice at Northwestern Mutual for over 30 years. Prior to Northwestern Mutual, he worked as a casualty actuary specializing in loss reserve analysis and financial modeling. He also served as the Chairman of Insurance at T.K.U. in Taipei, Taiwan between 1983 and 1985.
